TEC-QQD routinely organises workshops and conferences on dependability and safety.

Several workshops have been conducted in the recent past: AWARE (Advanced Workshop on Assessment of Reliability), FADAT (Failure, Test and Operations Data) and HUDEP (Human Dependability).
All the topics covered by these workshops will in future be addressed by the RAMS Conference, the 1st edition of which will take place in June 2021. The following topics will be addressed:

<li>RAMS predictions and modelling (including REX)&nbsp;</li>
<li>RAMS and System Engineering – FDIR, MBSE…&nbsp;</li>
<li>RAMS Challenges with Technology evolutions&nbsp;</li>
<li>A new approach with Small Satellites and Constellations&nbsp;</li>
<li>Human Dependability</li>
</ul>
The conference will address a wide range of fields with respect to RAMS, including deep-space missions, small satellites, constellations, MBSE, COTS, CubeSats, etc.
It will be of interest to industry/academia for R&amp;D activities consistent with the ESA RAMS R&amp;D roadmap, attracting and maintaining attention with respect to the RAMS discipline of internal and external stakeholders. It also fosters cooperation between organizations and partners. Participation is extended to non-space participants to share best practices and lessons learned from other domains.

FAR encompasses the whole spectrum of flying vehicles for suborbital, orbital and exploration applications, including upper stages, (re)-entry, expendable, and reusable vehicles.

FAR is an event organised by the European Space Agency (ESA) in conjunction with other global space agencies and institutional partners.
The participants are invited to showcase their latest architecture designs, analysis and technical assessments with the aim of promoting the exchange of ideas and the identification of new trends and required developments. The fields covered are flight vehicle engineering, flight physics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics engineering and the architecture design and analysis of space transportation and exploration vehicles.
In addition to the latest theoretical advances in those fields, FAR is especially devoted to software tools. Demonstrations and short tutorials are welcome.

A workshop dedicated to EMC engineers where they will seek to improve the means of forecasting possible compatibility issues and validating subsystem designs by creating a collaboration with industry, academia and agencies.

The aerospace industry is under continuous pressure due to an increasing demand for new services and technologies, the higher level of integration of electronics and the need to reduce the overall mass and volume of systems.&nbsp;
New technologies and trends are calling for new approaches and methods to achieve compatibility between an enormous variety of equipment. In the view of the traditional verification approach from equipment to subsystem to system level, the extended use of commercial off-the-shelf components and miniaturization into CubeSats and Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles present new challenges to EMC practitioners.&nbsp;
In order to minimize test efforts, and to avoid fixing or redesigning already integrated systems, EMC engineers are seeking to improve the means of forecasting possible compatibility issues and validating subsystem designs. To achieve these goals, the close collaboration of industry, academia and agencies is required.

Attracting thousands of scientists and data users, ESA’s Living Planet Symposia are amongst the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world. For decades now Earth observation has played a fundamental role in advancing our understanding of how our planet works and how it is being affected by climate change.
